Senior Pastor at Briarwood Presbyterian Church Killed in Car Crash

According to the Shelby County Coroner, Dr. Harry Reeder, Senior Pastor at Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, Alabama was killed on Thursday morning in a car accident. The incident occurred around 10 a.m. on Dunnavant Valley Road when he ran into the back of a dump truck. He was 75 years old.
Reeder and his wife Cindy have three children and several grandchildren. He has been the Senior Pastor at Briarwood Presbyterian Church since September 1999.
Briarwood Presbyterian Church released a statement on its Facebook page expressing their grief over Reeder's passing: "It is with a deeply heavy heart that I communicate to you that our Lord has called Pastor Reeder home through a car accident."
The community mourns the loss of such an influential figure but takes comfort knowing that Dr. Harry Reeder will be remembered for his teachings and impact on countless lives throughout his career as Senior Pastor at Briarwood Presbyterian Church.
