One Person Hospitalized in Westbrook Accident

One person is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries following a serious accident in Westbrook, according to local authorities. The incident occurred on Saturday around 5 p.m. when police responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Grove Beach Road and Lilac Lane.
Reports indicate that two vehicles were involved in the collision, one traveling north on Grove Beach Road and the other heading south. The driver of the northbound vehicle sustained severe injuries as a result of the impact. Emergency services swiftly arrived at the scene and transported them to Yale-New Haven Hospital via Life Star helicopter for immediate medical attention.
Fortunately, both individuals in the southbound vehicle appeared unharmed after examination by medical professionals.
At this time, law enforcement officials have not released any additional details regarding what led to this unfortunate incident. However, they are actively investigating its cause.
