Serious Crash Involving Wrong-Way Driver Leaves 57-Year-Old Haydenville Man Dead

The 57-year-old Haydenville man died due to the extent of his injuries, while the driver of the other vehicle had no minor injuries.
Part of Route 9 in Williamsburg was closed on Tuesday afternoon following a serious crash involving a wrong-way driver. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) announced that the road is closed in both directions near Myrtle Avenue.*
According to the Chester-Blandford Police, officers responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash at around 2:15 p.m. The collision occurred on Route 9, and it was confirmed that a head-on collision resulted in the death of a 57-year-old Haydenville man due to the severity of his injuries. The driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries.
After clearing the scene, all lanes were reopened for traffic while authorities completed their investigation into the cause of this tragic accident.
