A serious crash on Pellissippi Parkway Tuesday morning has prompted a response from first responders. The incident occurred on the westbound side near Northshore Drive, according to Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) official Mark Nagi.
According to reports, the crash involved seven vehicles and was reported around 7 a.m. TDOT officials stated that traffic was diverted onto the shoulder of the interstate as a result.
Knoxville Police Department confirmed that there were no serious injuries reported in their initial investigation. He mentioned that "a truck rolled over and one lane was blocked."
The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation, and authorities are working diligently to gather more information about what led to this incident.
