Route 4 in Turner was closed on Friday morning due to a serious motor vehicle crash. The closure spanned from Route 117, also known as Turner Center Road, to Tidswell Road until approximately 11 a.m.
Authorities urged drivers to avoid the area starting at around 8:15 a.m., as stated in a Facebook post by the Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office. "Traffic cannot proceed northbound after Northland Plaza," the post warned.
Details regarding the number of vehicles involved and whether there were any reported injuries have not been released at this time.
