Serious Motorcycle Crash Closes Route 81 in Haddam

HADDAM, Conn. (Accident.NEWS) - A serious motorcycle crash has resulted in the closure of both sides of Route 81 in Haddam for an investigation. The Connecticut State Police received reports of the collision at approximately 5:50 p.m., at 968 Route 81 (Killingworth Road).
Upon arrival, EMS and the local fire department also responded to the scene. The State Police have reported that "serious injuries were reported and LifeStar has been requested." As a result, Route 81 has been closed between Burr Road and Beaver Meadow Road.
This is the second serious motorcycle crash that the State Police have responded to on the same day. Earlier, at around 3:12 p.m., the State Police received reports of a motorcycle crash on West Street in Stafford. EMS also responded to the scene, and possible serious injuries were reported. LifeStar was also requested.
At this time, there is no further information available regarding the crashes. The State Police are continuing their investigations into both incidents.
