Seven people injured, three airlifted to hospital in serious to critical condition
Three People Airlifted to Hospital After Two-Car Accident in Woodstock
Police reported that three people were airlifted from the scene of a two-car accident on Route 14 near North Rose Farm Road. The accident involved seven individuals and occurred at around 2:45 p.m. One of the vehicles was found flipped over when first responders arrived, with two people trapped inside.
All five individuals who were extricated from the vehicles were removed within 25 minutes. Three adults were airlifted to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville in serious to critical condition, while one child was transported by ground to Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital with minor injuries.
An additional adult and two children evaluated on the scene refused transport to hospital according to Woodstock Fire and Rescue District. As of 5:55 p.m., Route 14 remains closed in both directions as McHenry County Sheriff’s Office investigates the crash.
The cause of this incident is still unknown, but authorities are urging drivers to be cautious when driving along this route until further notice.
