Seven people were killed and several others were injured in a crash that occurred on Thursday afternoon at around 2 p.m. The accident happened on the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 near Albany, Oregon.

According to police reports, two semi trucks and a passenger vehicle collided with each other causing the fatal accident. All seven victims who died in the crash were adults as confirmed by officials.

The injured victims received medical attention from two helicopters that arrived at the scene.

As authorities continue their investigation into this tragic incident, all northbound lanes of Interstate 5 remained closed for hours after the accident occurred.

The cause of the accident is not yet known.
