Sidney Man Ethan Meintka Injured in Single Vehicle Accident

A 24-year-old man from Sidney, Nebraska was injured on Saturday in a single vehicle accident southeast of the town. According to reports, Ethan Meintka was driving his 1999 Subaru Forester east on Cheyenne County Road 8 when he lost control of the car.
The accident occurred as the road changed from blacktop to gravel causing the car to rotate and roll two times before leaving the south side of the road. During this process, Meintka was ejected from his vehicle.
Emergency services were called immediately and an ambulance transported him to Sidney Regional Medical Center for treatment. The extent of his injuries is unknown at this time.
Authorities are investigating what caused Meintka's loss of control while driving.
