Rhodes was pronounced dead at the scene

A 26-year-old man from Rome, New York died in a single-car accident on Saturday night. According to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, Christopher Rhodes was driving his 2008 Honda on Medows Road in Annsville when he collided with a tree at around 11:45 p.m.

Deputies who arrived at the scene found that Rhodes had strayed out of his lane while going around a slight curve in the road before hitting the tree. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation by authorities. No other vehicles were involved and no one else was injured.
