Fatal Single-Car Accident in York County

One fatality, driver hospitalized
A tragic single-car accident in York County, South Carolina claimed the life of one person and left another hospitalized on Friday morning. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on Highway 901, approximately six miles south of Rock Hill.
The car was traveling down the highway when it suddenly veered off the right side of the road and rolled over. There were two passengers in the vehicle at the time of the crash. Sadly, the back-seat passenger succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, who was seated in front, sustained injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Fortunately, they did not suffer any life-threatening wounds.
Authorities have launched an investigation into this devastating accident. At this stage, it remains unclear whether factors such as alcohol consumption or speeding played a role in causing this tragedy. The South Carolina Highway Patrol has yet to release any information regarding these potential contributing factors.
