Male and Female Involved in Fatal Single Vehicle Accident in Kansas City

One person pronounced dead, another transported to hospital in critical condition
The Kansas City, Kansas police department is investigating a single vehicle accident that occurred on Saturday afternoon and left one person dead.
Officers responded to a call at 1:50 p.m. at 5th and Parallel Pkwy. Upon arriving at the scene of the incident, they found a male and female in a car that had collided with a utility pole. The two individuals were transported to an area hospital in critical condition where the male later passed away.
"The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department Traffic Division is currently investigating a single vehicle accident that has taken the life of one person," said the police department in their statement on Twitter.
This case remains under active investigation by KCKPD Traffic Division. They are urging anyone who may have information about this incident to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
