Six Injured in Motor Vehicle Accident in Augusta, NY

Six people hospitalized
Oneida County Sheriffs responded to a motor vehicle accident that resulted in six people being sent to the hospital on Friday, September 1st.
The incident took place at approximately 11:50 AM at the intersection of North Road and Knoxboro Road in the town of Augusta. According to authorities, a pickup truck driven by Steven Aldridge, 73 years old from Waterville, was traveling northbound when it failed to stop at a stop sign.
As a result, the truck collided with an eastbound van driven by Rachel Chase, 37 years old from Liverpool. The van had four passengers onboard at the time of the collision.
Aldridge sustained head injuries and was airlifted via Mercy Flight to Upstate Medical University Hospital in Syracuse for further treatment. Chase and her passengers were transported to Saint Elizabeth's Hospital for evaluation of minor injuries.
At this time, no citations have been issued regarding the accident. However, law enforcement officials are continuing their investigation into the incident.
