Snow Hill Woman Charged After Deadly Crash in Greene County That Killed William Jones

One person was killed and another was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A Snow Hill woman has been charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle after a fatal crash that occurred earlier this week in Greene County. According to the Highway Patrol, the incident took place on Monday at around 8:10 a.m. on Highway 903, approximately one mile south of Snow Hill.
The victim was identified as William Jones, aged 55 and also from Snow Hill. Troopers reported that Jones was traveling south when an oncoming car driven by Catherine Medford crossed over into his lane and collided with his vehicle.
Medford, who is only 23 years old and also from Snow Hill, sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the accident. She has since been charged with driving left of center and misdemeanor death by motor vehicle. Her court date is set for October 6th.
