Solo vehicle collision reported in San Rafael

The driver was taken to a nearby hospital where their condition is unknown at this time. The eastbound lane of Freitas Parkway was closed as officers investigated but has since reopened. The car was towed away from the scene.
The San Rafael Police Department (SRPD) reported a solo vehicle collision on Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred at the intersection of Freitas Parkway and Northgate Drive at around 1 p.m.
According to SRPD, the driver of the four-door sedan, who remains unidentified, was possibly experiencing a medical emergency at the time of the crash. The driver was taken to a nearby hospital, and their condition is currently unknown.
Fortunately, there were no other injuries reported from the accident. The eastbound lane of Freitas Parkway was temporarily closed while officers investigated the scene but has since reopened. The car involved in the collision was towed away.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
