Stolen vehicle chase ends in collision injuring six in Wake Forest

Six people sent to local hospital with minor injuries

A police chase of a stolen vehicle in Wake Forest, North Carolina ended in a collision that sent six people to the hospital with minor injuries. The incident occurred on Monday morning when officers responded to reports of a stolen vehicle just after 9 am.

According to a news release from the Town of Wake Forest, officers spotted the stolen vehicle at around 9:22 am along South Main Street/U.S. 1A at the Rogers Road intersection and began pursuing it. The driver fled northbound along South Main Street but lost control less than 30 seconds later and crashed into another vehicle on the 1200 block of the street.

As a result of the collision, six people were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. Five suspects involved in the incident were identified as teenagers between ages 14 and 17 years old. Charges are currently pending against them.
