26-Year-Old Woman Killed in Sun Valley Hit-and-Run Crash

A 26-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run accident that occurred early Saturday morning in Sun Valley. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident took place just before 4 a.m. when a blue 2015 Nissan Versa traveling north on Lankershim Boulevard near Cayuga Avenue collided with the back end of a semi-truck.
The impact caused the Versa to overturn, and the truck driver fled from the scene. The victim was declared dead at the scene by authorities. Footage shared on Citizen app showed an overturned car at the site of collision.
LAPD is urging anyone with information about this incident to contact Officer Hansen or Officer Freeman during business hours or call LAPD-24-7 for non-business hours and weekends.
