Tanker truck crash kills Byron Lampkin in McDonald County, Missouri

A tanker truck carrying sludge crashed near the intersection of EE and DD in McDonald County, Missouri on Monday afternoon. The accident was reported to the McDonald County E-911 just after 12 noon.
Emergency services including Noel Fire Department and McDonald County Deputies responded to the crash site which was located about five miles north of Noel. According to a preliminary crash report, the tanker truck failed to stop at intersection, crossed the roadway and overturned.
The driver of the 1993 Western Star 4900 with a mounted tank has been identified as Byron Lampkin, aged 61 from Bluffton, Arkansas. Unfortunately, he died at the scene.
Missouri State Highway Patrol have notified next of kin while McDonald County Deputy Coroner Johnathon Fletcher claimed Lampkin's body and transported it to Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson.
It is unknown what type of sludge was being carried by the tanker truck but chicken sludge is common in the area and is transported for use as fertilizer.
