Tanker Truck Overturns on I-75 near Gainesville

Interstate 75 near Gainesville, Florida has been closed to traffic after a tanker truck overturned and spilled hazardous materials. The crash occurred on Tuesday at around 6:30 a.m., involving the tanker truck and two other cars. It is still unclear what chemicals the tanker was carrying, and there is no information yet about any injuries sustained in the accident.
Northbound traffic was rerouted off the State Road 222 exit while southbound traffic was diverted at the U.S. 441 High Springs exit in the four hours following this incident.
