All lanes in both directions were reopened just after 1 p.m.

A tanker truck rollover caused traffic delays for several hours on Thursday morning, according to the Iowa State Patrol. The crash occurred around 9 a.m. and involved the semi-truck and a passenger vehicle near Alleman, Iowa.

Sgt. Alex Dinkla of the Iowa State Patrol reported that "the tanker was carrying about 8,000 gallons of diesel fuel, a small amount of which spilled in the crash." Fortunately, no major injuries were reported as both drivers only sustained minor injuries.

The accident resulted in limited traffic flow with only one lane open in both directions for several hours while authorities worked to clear up the scene. The semi-truck was lying on its side partially blocking southbound lanes and partially located within the median at mile marker 100.

According to reports from the Iowa Department of Transportation's traffic cameras, all lanes were reopened just after 1 p.m., once officials had removed the damaged truck from the area. Before removal could occur though, crews pumped out any remaining fuel into another tanker truck so as not to cause further damage or environmental concerns.
