Teen Killed in Car Accident at Queens Bus Stop

A 19-year-old, Ava Conklin, was tragically killed after being hit by a car while waiting at a bus stop in Rockaway Park, Queens. The incident occurred near the Walgreens store located on 108th Street along Rockaway Beach Boulevard.
The white SUV that hit the teen was badly damaged. As a result of the accident, several metal seats were also knocked over. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was taken into custody for questioning. However, he has since been released without any charges filed against him.
It is unclear whether or not she had any companions with her at the time of the accident.
