A tragic incident occurred in San Jose, California on Wednesday morning when a 15-year-old pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle. The victim has been identified as Justin Estira of San Jose, who was a student at Willow Glen High School.

According to the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner's office, "Justin Estira died following a fatal car collision overnight in San Jose." Police say that another teen was driving the car that struck him. Authorities have stated that there is no indication that this was done on purpose.

The accident happened around 1:36 am on Rinconada Drive. Witnesses reported seeing Estira walking out into the driveway when he was hit by a juvenile girl driving a 2019 Subaru sedan through an apartment complex parking lot entrance. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
