Teenage girl dies in two-car crash in northeast Phoenix

A teenager has died following a two-car crash in northeast Phoenix early this morning, according to reports from the Phoenix police. The accident occurred at around 3 a.m. near 40th Street and Osborn Road.
The teenage girl was driving one of the cars involved in the collision and was taken to hospital after emergency services arrived on the scene. Unfortunately, she later passed away due to her injuries sustained during the incident.
The driver and passenger of the other vehicle were also transported to hospital for treatment but are expected to recover from their non-life threatening injuries.
As a result of the crash, roads surrounding the area have been restricted by officers who are urging drivers to avoid it until further notice. An investigation into what caused the accident is still ongoing, with authorities yet to determine if impairment played any role in causing it.
This tragic event serves as another reminder for all drivers on our roads that safety should always be their top priority when behind the wheel.
