Teenage Passenger Dies in Vehicle Crash in Salisbury

The driver suffered minor injuries, while the passenger died.
A tragic accident in Salisbury, Connecticut claimed the life of a teenage passenger on Thursday night. According to Connecticut State Police, 19-year-old Jason Marc Titunik from Sarasota, Florida was identified as the victim.
The incident occurred around 6:20 p.m. when the driver lost control of the vehicle on Route 44 eastbound, just east of Twin Lakes Road. The car collided with a utility pole located in the right shoulder of the road. Fortunately, the driver only sustained minor injuries.
However, Titunik suffered life-threatening injuries and had to be rushed to Sharon Hospital for treatment. Sadly, he was later pronounced dead.
Authorities are currently investigating what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle. As of Friday morning, no specific details have been released regarding this matter.
Connecticut State Police are urging anyone who may have captured dashcam footage or has any information about the incident to come forward and contact them immediately.
