Teenager Dies in Fatal Accident on Wilderness Highway

A tragic accident on the Wilderness Highway in Fayette County has claimed the life of a teenager. The incident occurred when a 16-year-old driver veered off the road and collided with a power pole on WV Route 41/Wilderness Highway near the Route 60 intersection. Unfortunately, the young driver, who was alone in the vehicle at the time, succumbed to their injuries sustained during the crash.
The identity of the victim will not be disclosed due to their age. However, it has been confirmed by Fayette County Superintendent that they were a male student attending Midland Trail High School.
