Steven Keith Dies in Car Crash in Seneca, Missouri

Keith was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two were taken to a Joplin hospital with minor injuries.
A teenager has died in a car crash that occurred on Thursday afternoon in Newton County, Missouri. The accident happened on Old 60 Drive, about three miles east of Seneca at around 2:45 p.m. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, a Nissan Altima driven by a 17-year-old man crossed the center of the road and went off the right side after overcorrecting. It then overturned and hit a tree.
There were two passengers in the vehicle; Steven Keith who was aged 18 years old and another unidentified male also aged 18 years old. Unfortunately, Keith was pronounced dead at the scene while the other two occupants sustained minor injuries and were taken to Joplin hospital for treatment.
The MSHP Troop D’s reported this as their 53rd fatal crash for this year alone. The report further stated that none of them had been wearing safety devices when they crashed.
