Alexander Robinson was pronounced dead on June 18.
Kansas City police have confirmed that a 16-year-old boy who was struck by a semi truck in a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 29 has died. The incident occurred at around 9:30 p.m. on June 14, when Alexander Robinson was walking in a construction zone along southbound I-29.
According to the police report, the driver of the truck did not stop and continued traveling south on the interstate after hitting Robinson. He was taken to a local hospital where he remained in critical condition until his death on June 18.
The authorities have not released any additional information about the semi truck driver involved in the crash or whether they have identified any suspects.
