Teenager Killed in Head-On Car Crash in Logan County

Chloe Hodge died from her injuries. The other driver is in stable condition.
On Thursday, January 25th, a tragic head-on car crash occurred in McArthur Township, Logan County. According to the Logan County Sheriff's Office, two individuals were seriously injured in the incident that took place around 10 a.m. near County Road 130 and Township Road 56.
One of the victims involved was Chloe Hodge, a 17-year-old from Bellefontaine. Despite receiving medical attention at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, she unfortunately succumbed to her injuries on Saturday.
The other individual involved was identified as a 32-year-old woman from Lakeview who was driving a Ford F150 pickup truck northbound on C.R. 130 at approximately 9:50 a.m. The vehicle crossed over into the opposite lane and collided with Hodge's Honda CR-Z.
Both drivers were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. The Lakeview woman is currently in stable condition at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
Authorities suspect that impairment or influence may have played a role in causing the accident and have cited the driver for crossing over into opposing traffic. The Logan County Sheriff's Office is actively investigating this tragic incident.
