18-year-old Hispanic male killed in Baldwin Hills DUI crash

18-year-old male died, two 17-year-old females hospitalized with minor injuries
A tragic car accident in Baldwin Hills has left one teenager dead and two others injured. The incident occurred on Friday night at around 11:45 p.m. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a vehicle traveling southbound on La Brea Avenue near Coliseum Street made an ill-fated left turn in front of another vehicle carrying three teenagers that was heading northbound.
The driver of the second car, an 18-year-old Hispanic male, was rushed to a nearby hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The two passengers who were also in the same vehicle as him were hospitalized with minor injuries.
Authorities suspect that the driver of the southbound vehicle may have been driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol when they caused this fatal crash. It is unclear whether they have been arrested or what their current condition is.
