A three-car accident on the Queen Isabella Bridge in South Padre Island caused major traffic delays in the area, according to officials. The incident occurred early Saturday afternoon and has resulted in a "bumper to bumper" traffic delay all the way to Laguna Heights.

Port Isabel Police Chief Robert Lopez confirmed that there were no reported injuries at this time and no ambulances were called to the scene. Two towing trucks are currently en route to move the vehicles involved.

The cause of the accident is unknown at this time, but authorities are urging visitors and tourists driving through South Padre Island during Memorial Day weekend to exercise caution and patience on the roads.
