Police are asking the public for information regarding a serious three-car crash that occurred in Inwood on Tuesday. According to detectives, the crash happened around 5 p.m. on Nassau Expressway (Route 878) and left a 49-year-old woman in critical condition. She was airlifted to the hospital for treatment.
Reports indicate that a 64-year-old male was driving southbound on the expressway when he collided with a 24-year-old female who was driving northbound. The impact caused the younger driver's vehicle to strike a third car.
