Three Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash in La Crescent, MN

A crash in southeast Minnesota on Tuesday night resulted in three people being sent to the hospital. The incident occurred at an intersection in La Crescent, and the State Patrol quickly responded to the scene.
According to the state crash report, the collision involved two vehicles: an SUV traveling west on 14th St. and a minivan heading eastbound on Hwy. 16. The crash took place at the intersection of these two streets shortly before 9:10 p.m.
The van driver has been identified as 28-year-old John Paul Troendle from Caledonia, while behind the wheel of the minivan was 48-year-old Mary Irene Warmkagathje from St. Charles. Additionally, there was one passenger in the SUV named Jasmine Nicole Troendle, aged 24 and also from Caledonia.
All three individuals were taken to a nearby hospital in La Crosse with injuries described as non-life-threatening. It is worth noting that everyone involved had their seatbelts fastened and alcohol did not play a role in causing this accident.
In addition to the State Patrol's response, several other local authorities were present at the scene including La Crescent Police Department, La Crescent Fire Department, Houston County Sheriff’s Office, and Tri-State Ambulance.
Investigations into this two-vehicle collision are ongoing as officials work towards determining its cause and any potential contributing factors.
