Three Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 17 Bypass

On Wednesday morning, a two-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer occurred along Highway 17 Bypass near Coventry Road in Surfside Beach. The incident resulted in three people being injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.

According to Horry County Fire Rescue (HCFR), they received a call about the accident just after 10:45 a.m. Emergency crews were dispatched immediately to assist at the scene of the collision.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is currently investigating what caused the crash while county crews worked alongside Surfside Beach Fire Department to clear up debris from the area.

Drivers were advised to avoid this section of Highway 17 Bypass until further as authorities investigated.
