Three Killed in Fiery Car Crash at Murrieta Elementary School

Three victims pronounced dead at the scene, one occupant rushed to the hospital with severe injuries.
Three people have tragically lost their lives and another individual has been seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash that resulted in the car catching fire. The incident occurred on Saturday night in Murrieta, specifically in the parking lot of Alta Murrieta Elementary School.
According to authorities from the Murrieta Police Department (MPD), they received multiple calls about the crash at approximately 11:09 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene located at 39475 Whitewood Road, they discovered that the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames.
A press release from MPD stated, "One male occupant was discovered outside the vehicle with severe injuries," adding that he was promptly transported to a local hospital. However, no updates regarding his condition have been provided thus far.
Murrieta Fire Department personnel were called upon to extinguish the car fire. During their efforts, they made a grim discovery - three victims inside the vehicle, including its driver. Unfortunately, all three individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.
The MPD Traffic Bureau swiftly responded and is currently conducting an extensive investigation into this tragic event. Additionally, representatives from Riverside County Coroner's Office were present at the scene and will proceed with identifying and notifying next-of-kin for each victim involved.
As of now, officials have not disclosed any information regarding what might have caused this devastating crash or whether alcohol or drugs played a role. They did emphasize that there is no indication of other vehicles being involved in this incident.
The investigation into this tragic crash is still underway, and the cause has yet to be determined.
