Grove Woman Trea Riggs Injured in Three-Vehicle Accident

Trea Riggs was admitted to Freeman Hospital in Joplin in stable condition with internal trunk injuries. Cameron Gordon, the driver of the semi-trailer truck, and the teenage driver and his passenger of the 4-Runner were not injured.
A Grove woman was hospitalized after a three-vehicle accident involving a semi-trailer truck occurred on Tuesday evening, as reported by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. The crash happened around 7:20 p.m., approximately 2.5 miles south of Grove.
According to the patrol report, Trea Riggs, aged 26 and from Jay, was admitted to Freeman Hospital in Joplin with internal trunk injuries but is now in stable condition. Cameron Gordon, aged 24 and from Chelsea, who was driving a 2021 Freightliner Semi; a teenage boy from Grove driving a 2022 Toyota 4-Runner; and his passenger Niketa Mastin (aged 43) were not injured.
The patrol stated that Riggs' pickup truck swerved into the northbound lane to avoid hitting the Toyota which had been yielding to oncoming traffic when it collided with the semi-trailer truck traveling in that direction. Both Riggs and the teenage driver were heading southbound on US Route 59 at that time.
