Topeka Man Brandon Bumgarner Dies in Car Crash with Truck in Shawnee County

Brandon Bumgarner was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a tragic accident occurred on Saturday evening in Shawnee County resulting in the death of 26-year-old Brandon Bumgarner from Topeka. The incident took place at around 5:20 p.m. when Bumgarner was driving south on Huxman road and failed to clear the stop sign properly at the intersection of Huxman and U24 before pulling out in front of a truck.

The truck collided with Bumgarner's driver side door which pushed his vehicle into a ditch. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities.
