Tractor-trailer crash causes traffic backup in Montgomery County

The Virginia Department of Transportation has reported a significant traffic backup stretching approximately five miles due to a tractor-trailer crash on Interstate 81 North in Montgomery County. The incident occurred near mile marker 125 in the Brush Harbor area.
Emergency responders are currently at the scene, and as a result of the crash, the north right shoulder remains closed. Additionally, both the north left shoulder and left lane have been shut down, causing traffic congestion to intensify.
In an effort to alleviate delays and ensure public safety, authorities are urging drivers traveling through this area to seek alternative routes until the wreckage is cleared from the highway.
