The Virginia Department of Transportation has reported a tractor-trailer crash on Interstate 81 North in Roanoke County, causing significant delays for drivers. The accident occurred near mile marker 134 and both north lanes have been closed as a result. Traffic backups are currently over five miles long.
Drivers are being advised to seek alternative routes of travel while the authorities work to clear the scene. The Virginia Department of Transportation has not yet released any information regarding injuries sustained during the incident.
