According to the Lenoir City Police Department, a tractor-trailer driver in Loudon County is now facing a DUI charge after crashing and overturning their vehicle. The incident occurred when the driver, identified as Said Warsame, 49, of Texas, was exiting from I-75 onto 321 late Wednesday night.
Reports state that Warsame veered onto the shoulder of the exit and then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to flip over onto its left side. Fortunately, no other vehicles were involved in the accident.
Authorities have revealed that at the time of the crash, Warsame's truck was transporting beauty supplies. Following an investigation into the incident, he has been charged with driving under influence (DUI).
