In the early hours of Wednesday morning, a tractor-trailer rollover crash occurred near the Asbury Quik Stop on MO-171, causing significant traffic disruption. The incident was reported to Jasper County E-911 at approximately 4:15 a.m.

Emergency responders including Asbury Fire & Rescue, Jasper County Deputies, and METS ambulance swiftly arrived at the scene. Additionally, Schraders Towing was called in for recovery operations. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper, the trailer involved in the accident was carrying a hefty load of air conditioners weighing around 31,000 pounds.

Fortunately, both drivers involved in the crash escaped unharmed and remained present during the recovery process. The northbound tractor-trailer overturned onto its left side, obstructing the southbound lane. It is worth noting that heavy rain conditions prevailed at the time of the incident.

As a result of this accident and ongoing recovery efforts on MO-171, partial road blockages have been observed intermittently throughout today's commute. Although no power outages have been reported thus far despite damage caused to a utility pole as well.

Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes for their morning commutes until normal traffic flow can be restored along MO-171.
