Tractor and Vehicle Collide in Jefferson County, Nebraska

One person hospitalized, driver of tractor uninjured
One person was injured in a collision between a tractor and a vehicle in Jefferson County, Nebraska. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening at around 8:20 p.m. According to Jefferson County Sheriff Nick Georgi, the accident took place when a Ford Bronco traveling east on PWF road collided with a farm tractor that was mowing the ditch.
The tractor, which was driving westbound in the south ditch, moved onto the south lane to mow around a mailbox. Unfortunately, neither the driver of the tractor nor the Ford Bronco could recall what exactly happened leading up to the crash. However, it is believed that as the Ford Bronco approached, it struck the elevated bucket of the tractor which impacted its passenger side. This caused the car to rotate 180 degrees before coming to rest facing west.
Emergency services were called to assist at the scene and Beckett Chappel from Fairbury, who was driving the Ford Bronco, was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation. Fortunately, Roger Blobaum from Fairbury who operated the tractor did not sustain any injuries during this unfortunate incident.
Authorities are currently investigating further details surrounding this collision and will be working towards determining how exactly this accident occurred.
