Pedestrian Badly Hurt in Traffic Crash at Mira Mesa Bus Stop

Pedestrian badly hurt, serious injuries
A pedestrian was seriously injured in a traffic crash at a bus stop in Mira Mesa on Wednesday. The incident occurred shortly before noon on Mira Mesa Boulevard, near Camino Ruiz, according to the San Diego Police Department.
Aerial footage of the scene revealed a damaged white sports car that had landed on top of half of the sidewalk on eastbound Mira Mesa Boulevard. The bus stop in front of Pho Ca Dao Restaurant also appeared to be significantly damaged.
Multiple police cars were present at the corner of Camino Ruiz and Mira Mesa Boulevard, blocking off the eastbound lanes. Paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the victim to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla for treatment of their serious injuries.
As a result of the crash, eastbound traffic lanes were closed in the vicinity, as confirmed by SDPD public-affairs Officer Scott Lockwood.
