Trash truck driver airlifted to hospital after crash in Lakeville

The trash truck driver was airlifted to Rhode Island Trauma Center. The driver of the car and a passenger in the trash truck were both taken by ambulance to local hospitals. There is no word on their conditions.
A trash truck driver was seriously injured and airlifted to the hospital following a collision with a passenger car in Lakeville, Massachusetts on Thursday. According to Lakeville police, the accident occurred around 4:50 p.m. on Bedford Street near Crooked Lane.
Firefighters had to rescue one of the drivers who was trapped for almost an hour after the crash. The trash truck driver was then airlifted to Rhode Island Trauma Center for medical treatment while the other driver and a passenger in the trash truck were taken by ambulance to local hospitals. Their current conditions are unknown at this time.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation as authorities work towards determining what led up to it. No further details have been released yet regarding any potential charges or citations that may be issued as a result of this incident.
