Truck carrying fuel flips in Woodland Park

No one was injured, but the highway will be closed in both directions while a tow crew rights the truck.

A truck driver hauling fuel missed their turn on Tuesday morning and flipped their semi into a parking lot in Woodland Park, Colorado. The incident occurred around 5:50 a.m. when the driver was delivering gasoline to the Loaf ‘n Jug off Highway 24 and Highway 67.

Woodland Park Police Chief reported that the driver misjudged their turn into the parking lot, causing the semi to tip over. Fortunately, no one was injured during this accident.

The tanker was carrying several thousands of gallons of fuel, out of which about 2,100 gallons leaked due to rollover. Hazmat has been called to the scene for further assistance.

Both directions of highway were closed while tow crew righted the truck.
