A truck carrying scrap metal crashed in Halifax Borough, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, July 11. The incident occurred when the truck was attempting to make a left-hand turn from Armstrong Street onto Fourth Street in the borough. As the driver negotiated the turn, the load shifted, causing the truck to tip over and its contents to strike a nearby home.
Fortunately, both the truck driver and the occupants of the home escaped without any injuries. State Police have confirmed that no one was harmed during this accident.
Following the crash, Armstong Street in Halifax Borough has remained open for traffic. However, Fourth Street has been closed for two blocks starting from Armstrong Street as authorities investigate further into what caused this unfortunate incident.
