accident cleared, regular traffic patterns resumed
A truck carrying a load of cinderblocks crashed on I-95 this morning, resulting in major delays in Westchester. According to state police, the accident occurred in the New Rochelle and Pelham area near exit 15.
As a result of the crash, two northbound lanes and one southbound lane had to be closed, leading to significant backups in both directions. Commuters were advised to seek alternate routes or expect delays during their morning commute.
Fortunately, authorities were able to clear the accident scene shortly before 7:30 a.m., allowing regular traffic patterns to resume. However, it is important for drivers to remain cautious as residual congestion may still cause some minor delays.
