Truck Crash in Pilger, Nebraska Injures Driver

In northeast Nebraska, traffic was heavily delayed due to a crash that occurred on Friday in Stanton County. The accident happened near the intersection of Highways 275 and 15 just outside of Pilger. Fire and rescue units were immediately dispatched to the scene.
According to Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger, a man was driving on Highway 275 west of Pilger when his truck blew a tire and caused him to go over Humbug Creek through a guard rail. The vehicle was hauling metal products and landed upside down after going over the creek.
The driver had to be extracted from the vehicle using jaws of life before being taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Units from Pilger, Wisner, and Norfolk were all present at the scene as well.
The accident took place around 2:30 p.m., but traffic remained impacted until after 4:00 p.m. due to cleanup efforts by first responders.
