Truck Crashes Through Convenience Store in Plaquemine, Louisiana

Driver turned himself in and is now in custody
A convenience store in Iberville Parish, Louisiana was left in shambles after a truck crashed through it on Monday night. The incident occurred around 10:15 p.m. at the Lil Pigeon located on Bayou Pigeon Road.
Video footage of the crash shows the truck plowing through the store, demolishing an entire wall. Thankfully, no injuries were reported as a result of this shocking incident.
The Iberville Parish Sheriff's Office swiftly responded to the scene and managed to recover the truck involved in the crash. However, when authorities arrived, they discovered that the driver had fled from the scene.
Fortunately, their efforts paid off as later on Tuesday morning, Seth Jerome Hamilton turned himself into custody. Hamilton is now facing charges for hit-and-run with no personal injury and aggravated criminal damage to property.
Sheriff Brett Stassi confirmed that Hamilton was responsible for causing significant damage to both private property and public safety during his reckless act. The sheriff expressed relief that no one was harmed but emphasized that such behavior will not be tolerated within their community.
