Police Respond to Rollover Accident at Cookie Factory in Tulsa
Late Friday night, police officers and firefighters rushed to the scene of a rollover accident in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The incident occurred around 8:10 p.m. when a truck crashed into Nonni's Food, a well-known cookie factory located near East Pine and North Harvard.
Eyewitnesses reported that the driver of a grey Chevy Silverado fled the collision initially. However, law enforcement officials were able to apprehend him shortly afterward and take him into custody. The suspect is described as a man in his 40s.
According to authorities from the Tulsa Police Department, preliminary investigations suggest that street racing may have been involved leading up to the crash. It is believed that the intoxicated driver lost control of his vehicle before colliding with the building.
Fortunately, no injuries have been reported as a result of this incident. Tulsa Fire officials have assessed the structural integrity of Nonni's Food and deemed it safe for continued operation.
