Truck Crashes into Railroad on Marconi Drive in New Orleans

Part of Marconi Drive in New Orleans was temporarily closed on Thursday, June 29th after a truck collided with a railroad track at the Marconi Underpass. The crash caused damage to both the support beam and the track, prompting officials from the New Orleans Department of Public Works to close off a section of the road between Navarre and Harrison as a precautionary measure.
In light of this closure, drivers are advised to take an alternative route until further notice. Norfolk Southern personnel have been dispatched to assess the extent of the damage caused by the accident.
